What is full port brass water ball valve

A brass full port ball valve design with big brass ball diameter, so that the flow pass through with higher rate. The bore sizes of full port brass ball valves are same as DN sizes, such us 1/2" full port brass ball valves with bore size 15mm. Full port brass ball valves are normally heavy duty design, to ensure the ball valve can work well.

Applications of full port brass water ball valves

Full port brass water ball valves are mainly used to cut off, distribute and change the flow direction of the medium in the fluid in the pipeline. The ball valve designed with a V-shaped opening also has a good flow adjustment function, often used in the manufacture of valves, water pipes, connecting pipes for internal and external air conditioners, and radiators.

How to select full port brass water ball valves

There are three different types of brass ball valves:

1). Full port brass ball valve offers no flow restriction, which means that when it is open, the liquid can flow freely through it. This is achieved by making the ball larger than the passage size, so that the hole can be the same size as the passage.

2). Standard port brass ball valve does not have an over-sized ball, and as a result, the hole is one size smaller than the passageway. This creates a small amount of flow restriction as the fluid passes through.

3). Reduced port brass ball valve, on the other hand, has an smaller ball and an even smaller hole, which creates significant flow restriction as the fluid passes through it.

How to install full port brass water ball valves

1. Before installing full port brass water ball valves, clean and remove any objects from the pipes (in particular bits of sealing and metal), which could obstruct and block the valves.

2. Ensure that both connecting pipes either side of the valve (upstream and downstream) are aligned (if they are not the brass ball valves may not work correctly).

3. Roll pipes with PTFE tape, connect the full port brass water ball valve to the pipe, tighten the connection with spanner till the the valve and pipe are firmly installed.
